During her tenure at Friend to the Furry, Jen designed and created her website and other marketing materials. As Friend to the Furry got more successful, it became hard for her to invest her time in marketing and design tasks, and she missed the marketing aspects of her job.
Just as she had always sought to provide pet parents with the best advice and remain up to date on the latest developments in dog training, Jen realized she had some catching up to do when considering the transitional nature of the marketing and design industries. Jen continued to keep informed about the pet industry and sought after more formal education in branding, graphic design, web design, and web development, while also catching up on marketing trends, innovation, and digital marketing knowledge to supplement her bachelor's degree in marketing from the Zicklin School of Business at New York's Baruch College.
